A new leak from a Dutch source has spoken about the much rumored 2K display from the LG G3, but this time with proof. The website has managed to access a couple of screenshots from an LG device, with dimensions of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which translates to 2K or Quad HD as we call it. Since this is still a leak and not confirmation, we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt. However, knowing that the company is desperately trying to make its flagship stand out from the ever growing competition, the leak is pretty much a confirmation of what’s to come. It has been claimed that the G3 will also be water and dust resistant like the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Samsung Galaxy S5, so it’s clear that manufacturers are taking this particular feature very seriously with their flagships. The smartphone could also feature a quad core Snapdragon 805 chipset, a 16 megapixel camera with OIS and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with a slightly upgraded user interface from the LG G2. If past rumors are anything to go by, the LG G3 could be announced by May or June. A mid-2014 launch would be ideal for the Korean manufacturer as there aren’t a lot of competitive offerings launching then.
We will keep a close eye on the G3 and update you with any information we get.
