OnePlus today released its second update to the community build of OxygenOS 3.5 for the OnePlus 3. Still based on Marshmallow, OxygenOS 3.5.2 comes with a number of new minor usability improvements and additions along with bug fixes.
The update primarily adds minor new features that enhance the experience of using OxygenIS 3.5 further. A quick change-log of the update is as follows:
Added “kill all background processes” button in recents menu
Added long press options in messages application
Enhanced incoming call notification UI
Added manual “check for update” button
Added additional directions for first fingerprint configuration
Battery Saver mode optimizations and enhancements
Added back contacts widget in launcher
Improved dialer speed
New modes added in control panel (night mode and battery saver)
Added support for PIN codes up to 6 digits
If you are already running the community build of OxygenOS 3.5 on your OnePlus 3, you will automatically get an OTA update to the latest build. Compared to OxygenOS 3.2, OxygenOS 3.5 offers a slightly refreshed UI that no longer resembles stock Android. With OxygenOS 3.5, OnePlus is streamlining their whole platform that will allow them to increase the speed and frequency of their updates in the future. In addition to OxygenOS 3.5.2, OnePlus also released the community build of OxygenOS 3.1.1 for the OnePlus X. Based on Android 6.0, the update introduces some basic features that were missing on the previous OxygenOS 3.1.0 build. This includes the option to move apps to SD card, improved touch responsiveness, and more. The full change-log of the update is as follows:
