The trailer, called “Heroes Showdown”, offers exciting visuals with footage showing various events available to play in the game. Players can challenge their friends to these fun and extreme Olympic events, set in the host city of Rio de Janeiro.
A particularly important event included in the game is rugby, as 2016 marks the first Olympic Games appearance of rugby since 1924. But this event is exclusive to the Wii U version of the game.
The game also offers events like Beach Volleyball, Soccer, Table Tennis, and many others. Thirty playable characters from the Mario & Sonic series, including some only available for certain events, from the Mario & Sonic series are included in the game.
Players can purchase the 3DS version of the game now, or wait for the Wii U version to come out June 24.
