Are you looking for the ‘hottest’ combination of Google Chrome and 64-bit Windows systems? Then you will definitely want to give the new 64-bit builds of Google Chrome in the Dev and Canary channels a try! The new builds just became available this week and are ready for all manner of testing fun.
There is good news for those running a 32-bit version on their 64-bit systems. You can go ahead and install the new builds without losing your data or profiles!
From the Announcement Blog Post: We’re announcing the addition of 64-bit support to Chrome, with two brand new 64-bit Dev and Canary channels for Windows 7 and 8 users, giving a faster and more secure browsing experience. The new version replaces the existing version while preserving all your settings and bookmarks, so there’s no need to uninstall a current installation of Chrome.
