The new title will take rhythm-styled gameplay into RPG territory, orchestrating combat through dialogue exchanges filtered through rap battles. Inspired by other media like the Epic Rap Battles Of History YouTube series, the hook here is that rap battles are decided in real time through a “dialogue wheel”, which represents one of four specific temperaments. The wheels will vary, with four types of expression: Coerce, Boast, Laugh, and Joke – each of these rap-trees will have their own strengths and weaknesses, having specific uses against the enemies you’ll encounter in the game....
On Tuesday, IO Interactive is back with Hitman 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the seventh title in the series and a direct sequel to 2016’s Hitman. For those unfamiliar with the franchise (and who cannot glean the premise from the game’s vague title), Hitman 2 puts players in the shoes of Agent 47, a killer-for-hire. Apple has now activated the new iCloud Storage tiers, as announced last week at Apple’s September event. The new tiers do not bump the free tier — it remains at 5 GB. However, for $0.99 per month you now get 50 GB of storage, up from 20 GB. The 200 GB plan is now cheaper at $2.99 and the 1 TB plan is now half the price at $9.99 per month....
The source suggests that the console and streaming service were set for release in 2017 but were pushed back partly so that Google can rely on faster and more reliable internet for the 2018 launch. It has been predicted that the streaming service will launch first, with the console following shortly thereafter. Many outlets and sources have indicated that Google is making a direct attempt to compete with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo for a share of the ever-growing gaming market....

Director Josh Boone says the New Mutants movie heading to theaters is his original vision for the X-Men spinoff and not a revamped version. Prior to Disney’s purchase of Fox back in March, the latter studio had a pair of unreleased X-Men films in the pipeline. The first of them, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, opened in theaters back in June, but ended up becoming a critical and commercial misfire. Elsewhere, Boone’s New Mutants spinoff had already been delayed a couple times from its original 2018 window before Disney pushed it back again to April 2020....

On the 3DS side of the eShop: Bugs vs Tanks, Project X Zone, Lego Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and several other games will release over next couple weeks. For the 3DS Virtual Console there’s Defenders of Oasis, Mega Man 6, Sonic Blast and Tails Adventure. Next week a few full games will be released on the eShop, including Game & Wario on Wii U June 23rd....
Resident Evil 4 Director Yasuhiro Anpo and RE4 Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi confirmed that this is a reimagining of the original release. While the development wants to stay as true to that version of Resident Evil 4 as possible, they also want to update the game to modern standards, in similar ways Capcom has done with the Resident Evil 2 and RE3 remakes. The developers have reworked the look and design of the Ganado, making them more monstrous to convey the themes of madness and terror better....
Although capturing Astrals puts them in Hayato’s possession, it seems more has to be done before they can be considered allies. After capturing them, Hayato will have to purify each Astral in order to use them in battle. Although it’s unclear just how many Astrals can be in Hayato’s party at one time, from the trailer, we can see that he will be able to command at least three at a time in battle....

Besides unveiling the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P, and the Chromecast 2, Google also announced that it will start rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player from next week. The company noted that it will not be updating the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012), and the Nexus 10 to Marshmallow. Considering that all the three devices were released in 2012 with some version of Jelly Bean, it does make sense for Google to not update them to the latest version of Android....
On the bright side, most of the issues plaguing the poor performance of the Nexus 5 camera stems from its poor software, with the camera hardware itself being top notch. Google has promised that it would soon be releasing an update that should greatly improve the camera performance. Until the update lands, a recognised contributor from XDA – Jishnu Sur – has released a camera mod for the Nexus 5 that improves the camera image performance....
Beside releasing the final Android 5.0 SDK and updated Developer preview images, Google has also put up the Nexus Player and Nexus 9 for pre-order on Google Play. HTC, however, states that the scheduled shipping date for the tablet in the United States is October 31st, so you might be able to get your hands on the tablet a day early at the very best, if you are lucky. But then, make sure to order the tablet directly from HTC....
