A couple of days ago, the Pixel 7 Pro received Google Camera 8.7 update, bringing macro focus setting. As spotted by 9to5Google, this update is now rolling to the older Pixel phones. While the Macro mode is still exclusive to the Pixel 7 Pro, the update does bring a handful of changes to previous Pixel phones, all the way back to the 4a series. A new video was recently posted on YouTube showcasing purported Lightning-enabled EarPods. This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Lightning EarPods shown off, but it’s the first time that we’ve seen them showcased in action on video. A new app created by the supermarket chain Sainsbury’s is aiming to integrate the virtual and physical shopping process, allowing you to create shopping lists, be guided to those products in the store and to pay on your smartphone, skipping the checkout queues. It is currently being tested internally, with customer trials to follow early next year, initially in the UK. Sainsbury’s says that the app is all about saving time....

Samsung officially appointed a new CEO today to replace Choi Gee-Sung, who will now take up a position as head of corporate strategy overseeing Samsung Group’s roughly 80 companies. Choi, who was CEO for over three decades, will be replaced by Kwon Oh-hyun, who Reuters explained is currently head of Samsung’s components business and has deep relationships with Apple. Samsung made a statement claiming there will be no major changes in the way the company operates, because Kwon will continue to run the components business that “became the sole supplier of the mobile processors” for iPhone and iPad under his leadership:...

HTC is still a few months away from launching the successor of the One M8, but the specs of the handset have already made its way to the Internet. The leak comes courtesy of @upleaks, who has revealed the full internal specification of HTC’s upcoming flagship — codenamed Hima. Netflix has today updated its iOS app with better navigation and refreshed media controls. This update brings it to version 11.12.0 and is available now for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. In terms of media controls, Netflix is making it easy to “jump to the exact point you want to” by double tapping the left or right side of the screen for going forward and back. This is similar to how YouTube handles skipping forward and back....
