Anthem is about to undergo some of its most drastic changes yet. A recent developer stream hosted by BioWare claimed that the next patch will host around 300 changes for the game, including one that will fix all instances of the PS4 hard crashing issue that has plagued the game’s console release. Anthem is one of the early disappointments of 2019, a fact that EA and BioWare have been scrambling to massage away with a multitude of updates....

Google is making voice-assisted tasks notably faster with the next-generation Google Assistant. The company is achieving this by shrinking the AI voice model down from 100s of GBs to around 500MB thereby allowing the data to be stored locally on a device instead of the cloud. Google says Assistant will be able to process voice commands up to 10x faster compared to the current iteration. If the live demo given by Google at I/O 19 was anything to go by, there will be almost zero latency and voice commands would be instantly recognized and executed....

Later today, Google will be unveiling the much anticipated Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Almost every key detail about the devices have leaked over the past several hours, including their price and availability. The leaked prices of the handsets delighted many Nexus fanboys, especially since the Huawei Nexus 6P despite coming with some beastly internals is only priced at $499. However, in order to achieve such a low price point for both these devices, Google has had to make some compromises....

Neverwinter Nights holds an interesting place in gaming history. Not quite as fondly remembered as other licensed Dungeons & Dragons video games, Neverwinter Nights is a massive experience and, especially for players unfamiliar with either BioWare or D&D 3rd Edition, contains almost an overwhelming amount of content. The graphics haven’t aged well and the main story campaign is about as basic as role-playing games come, but a combination of bug fixes, server updates, and the inclusion of multiple premium modules make Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition a title worth checking out for anyone looking for an old-school Dungeons & Dragons adventure....

Newton, one of my favorite third-party email apps, has just launched a new feature called Recap. If you’ve never tried Newton, it reminds me of Mailbox. If you’ve forgotten, Mailbox was an app that Dropbox purchased and shut down a few years later. I get a lot of email during the day, and any help I can get on not missing an important email is something that will catch my eye....

Update (Sept 24th): Apple added a Knowledge Base on this The latest beta version of iOS 7 for mobile devices and Apple TV introduces a new method of pairing your iOS device’s Remote app with your Apple TV. Previously, the pairing procedure required the use of the regular infrared remote that comes with the Apple TV. Reed Hastings, the Netflix co-founder and CEO explained in his keynote how the number of hours watched on Netflix has gone up from 12 billion hours in Q4 up from 8.25 billion a year ago.
