Netflix has shown off a one-touch ‘move time’ button that switches on Netflix, dims the lights and puts your iPhone into Do Not Disturb mode. The button was introduced at the 2015 World Maker Faire, and the company has released the plans to enable you to build your own. It is also inviting idea for further one-touch buttons. Last week, Apple filed a trademark request for an updated HomeKit logo under a Delaware Corporation known as iGuide LLC. The registering representative Stephen Brown has known ties to Apple, as first noted by Conosomac.fr. This particular house-themed logo differs substantially from the logo used on Apple’s HomeKit development pages and within the iOS 9 settings panels. Camera NX is essentially a Google Camera mod and is designed to bring its features to older handsets. For the Portrait Mode, you’ll have to sideload a free APK file and that’s about it. The mod doesn’t even require root access, and the initialization process is quite straightforward as well. Surprisingly, the Portrait Mode works for both the front and rear cameras. We tried it on the Pixel (2016) and found the quality to be satisfactory, if not perfect....

First impressions are that the focussing has been simplified enormously. The version of Camera under Android 4.4 took a couple of tries at achieving a focus lock in most situations, taking up to four seconds, depending on light, with a further full focussing track taking up to another couple of seconds after the shutter icon was tapped. Under 4.4.1, Camera now takes just one focussing pass, pre-capture, and it’s quicker – a second at most....
