Apple’s self-driving electric car, codenamed Project Titan, is moving ahead more quickly than originally believed according to a new report from The Guardian. The site claims that documents it has obtained regarding the project indicate that Apple is currently seeking out a secure location to test its vehicle. This development follows our reporting earlier this year profiling numerous auto industry hires Apple has working on the project. As noted by The Guardian, Apple has expressed interest in using GoMentum Station for testing purposes....

Netflix’s new thriller Earthquake Bird, sets up the mystery of who killed Lily Bridges - and the ending appears to answer that question (with some room left for doubt). The latest film from director Wash Westmoreland, of 2018’s Collette and 2014’s Still Alice, is a dour mystery-drama about a woman who seems haunted by an unending stream of death all around her. Split between a police interrogation and the events leading up to the investigation, the movie finds no easy conclusions amid a person’s disappearance and the people that surrounded her....

Netflix is leading the teen rom-com movie renaissance with a slate of Originals that capture the nostalgia of the genre’s Golden Age (the 80s, 90s and early 00s) and repackage it for a modern audience. They might be adapted from YA novels or Wattpadd favorites and they might follow a central couple or feature several intertwining love stories. Disney is ramping up publicity for their upcoming live-action movie Aladdin, with clips now available to view online. This comes after the trailers have already shown fans what they are in store for when Aladdin comes to the big screen this month. Fans will be delighted to see some of their favourite characters coming to life in the excerpts that feature Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and Genie. Unlike a trailer, these clips are taken straight from the movie, giving fans a chance to whet their appetite even more for the much-anticipated live-action remake....

Netflix today announced that it is updating its parental controls to create more detailed protection for young viewers. The service is also adding clearer maturity level rating labels to its content. First up is the service expanding the existing PIN feature to let parents restrict individual movies, shows, and series. As my colleague Benjamin mentioned, this may be seen as a hassle by many users to apply limits on an individual basis, but Netflix sees it as an important step nonetheless....
