A new promo spot for Dark Phoenix sees the X-Men go to space to rescue trapped astronauts. In two and a half weeks, the final film from the main X-Men saga rolls out. Directed by Simon Kinberg, a long-time X-Men film producer, the film’s narrative is based on Chris Claremont’s The Dark Phoenix saga, and will feature Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey fully transforming into the Dark Phoenix teased at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse....

The Unicode Consortium has announced today that it is delaying the release of Emoji 14.0 due to COVID-19. The news was announced in a blog post, with the delay being attributed to the “lead time for developers to incorporate emoji into mobile phones.” As explained by Jeremy Burge on Twitter, what this means is that the new emoji introduced in version 14 won’t come to major platforms until 2022, as opposed to 2021....

Guys, meet the new Santoku Linux! Santoku is a general purpose kitchen knife which originated from Japan. Santoku means “three virtues” or “three uses” (Wikipedia). Fears have been raised about the prospect of a new US trade war with several different countries over their decision to impose taxes on tech giants. A set of new renderings of the proposed Union Square Apple retail location was presented to the San Francisco Planning Department this week that show an updated design for the store’s entrance. The new renders depict the store with massive 23-foot wide sliding glass doors (which measure nearly 45 feet tall each) that a large section of the storefront to open to the street. Regular-sized doors on either side of the larger ones will allow customers to come and go if the main doors are closed....
